Nayanthara’s Mookuthi Amman 2, which was announced for a Diwali release alongside its recent teaser, is said to be moving away from that race. The reason traces back to the feedback the teaser received, with viewers pointing out that the VFX needs a big improvement, even as the theme itself came across as promising.
The team reportedly sees this as valid feedback and is now working on improving the visual effects, choosing to take more time rather than rush out a film that undersells its own promising theme. Mookuthi Amman 2 was officially set for November 6, positioning it directly against Suriya’s Scene.
With Mookuthi Amman 2 stepping back, Suriya’s Scene, directed by Jithu Madhavan, stands to gain a solo release advantage within Kollywood on the same November 6 date. Suriya plays a cop named Inbaraj in the film, with Nazriya Nazim and Naslen also part of the cast.
